A National Historic Site, the Franciscan Monastery is a majestic Catholic center of worship encompassing a slew of chapels, shrines, gardens, and a greenhouse. It's located in the heart of Washington, D.C., off the Brookland Metro stop. Visitors can tour the monastery, including its impressive catacombs.
Open daily 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Tours leave Mon. - Sat. on the hour, 10:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m.; Sun. 1:00, 2:00, and 3:00 p.m.
