The Kreeger is a private museum housing an eclectic yet impressive collection of art, including paintings and sculptures by Cezanne, Epstein, van Gogh, and Monet, as well as several works from Africa and from local artists in Washington D.C. The gallery lies in downtown Washington, just north of Mount Vernon Junior College. In addition to its fine art exhibits, the Kreeger is known for having wonderful acoustics, and hosts many classical music concerts.
Tues. - Fri. tours leave at 10:30 a.m. & 1:30 p.m. (reservations required); Sat. open for general admission 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
